while Bitcoin stalls, altcoins are beginning to shine. If this trend continues, the crypto market could be entering a more dynamic phase, with BNB, Ethereum, Chainlink, and Aave emerging as the leading players of the moment.

BNB Hits Record as Altcoins Rally Ethereum, LINK, Aave

In the past 20 hours, the crypto market has begun to show a shift in leadership that could signal the start of a new “altcoin season.” While Bitcoin loses momentum and remains relatively flat around $113,800, several alternative cryptocurrencies such as BNB, Ethereum, Chainlink, and Aave have captured investors’ attention.

On one hand, BNB surprised the market by reaching a new all-time high near $862, gaining more than 3% in just 24 hours. At the same time, Ethereum and Chainlink have also posted strong gains, reinforcing the idea that capital is moving away from Bitcoin toward altcoins. In fact, BTC demand has dropped from 174,000 units in July to just 59,000 as of August 20, a clear indicator of this market shift.

Meanwhile, Aave is hovering at a critical level: its price is trading around $287 after bouncing off the 200-day moving average support, but it faces strong resistance in the $300–$315 range. If it breaks above that level, analysts believe it could climb to $355. Conversely, a drop below $272 could push it down to $225. Beyond the technical setup, excitement is also building around the upcoming Aave V4, expected in 2026, which will introduce cross-chain unified liquidity and could increase the protocol’s total value locked by more than 30%.

In this context, Bitcoin appears to be in a strategic pause. Falling demand and lack of momentum have led to consolidation, keeping the market on edge, especially ahead of Federal Reserve speeches that could once again move the needle in the coming days.
