Sui Network has been chosen by Google as a launch partner for the Agentic Payments Protocol, a new standard that merges AI and blockchain to power autonomous payments. Learn how this move impacts the SUI token and the future of digital finance.

In a groundbreaking step toward merging blockchain with artificial intelligence, Google has announced the launch of the Agentic Payments Protocol (AP2) and selected Sui Network as one of its key launch partners. This innovative standard is designed to enable AI agents to execute secure, autonomous, and programmable payments on behalf of users.
Thanks to its advanced infrastructure, Sui Network plays a pivotal role in AP2’s development. The network offers ultra-fast transactions with latency under 400 milliseconds, an asset-oriented architecture tailored for tokenized payments, and privacy-first identity solutions through zkLogin. Additionally, Sui provides decentralized storage, ensuring reliable data management for an AI-driven payment ecosystem.
Moreover, it is important to highlight that the Agentic Payments Protocol is not just a collaboration between Google and Sui. On the contrary, it is a global initiative that already counts on the participation of more than 60 major companies, including PayPal, Coinbase, American Express, Mastercard, and Salesforce. Together, they aim to unify smart contracts, traditional payment rails, and AI autonomy into a new global standard for financial transactions.
Following the announcement, the SUI token surged nearly 4% within 24 hours, outperforming the CoinDesk 20 Index over the same period. Trading volume also spiked to $33 million, more than four times its average, signaling rising institutional interest.
Consequently, analysts see this partnership as a massive growth opportunity not only for Sui’s ecosystem but also for the broader adoption of blockchain in AI-driven payments. While technical and regulatory details are still unfolding, the early impact suggests that the Agentic Payments Protocol could become a turning point in the future of digital payments worldwide.
